Olive, Peter, Lyn, Shane - wonderful people with a wealth of experience behind them and a willingness to teach and share their knowledge.

The entire family eats every delicious, hearty meal with the guests, imparts the history and workings of the farm and makes you feel a part of the family for the brief time you are there, and this stays with you weeks, months and years after you leave and keeps you yearning to come back and visit again.

Things have moved on since my first visit:- lots more basic but spotless and homely accommodation, just what you need, a larger covered meals area - the help your self and make yourself at home attitude is very relaxed and welcoming.

We enjoyed every part of our stay. Booked three days and stayed four. There are enough activities to keep you as busy as you are motivated to be. The hosts are real country folk that get involved with their visitors, we found meal times to be very social, with a glass of Peter's home brew and some lovely home cooked country meals by Olive & Lyn. Our kids are 12 & 14 years so we all could ride the motorbikes and the horses together as a family, we found the horse riding to be the best we have ever done, Lyn will get you to do fun activities and games as you ride, Shane will point out some interesting things like wild bees and wild boars. Lyn is a lot of fun and very encouraging, Shane is a fountain of knowledge about the bush and farming. Peter & Olive are lovely. Worth the drive and we will be back.

Nice farm stay, friendly and chatty owner, even learned a few tricks on how to chase away snakes. Good experience for those growing up in the city. Well maintained and clean. Healthy home cooked food.

We stayed two nights with the full day package and were stoked with our decision. Got to have a go at everything and to everyones ability. Motorbike/horse riding, milking cow, herding cattle and even feeding Bungy the joey his bottle. The meals were great after a hard day on the farm, washed down with a pretty good home brew too.Super spot to spend a few days if you are a foreign tourist or from Australia, this place will leave you wanting more of the bush life for sure.

Horse riding through the bush, collecting eggs for breakfast and milking the cows in the evening were highlights my son particularly enjoyed.

Rocky people can get there in plenty of time for breakfast followed by horse riding, cow milking, egg collecting, swimming, a bit of motorbike riding, just kicking back - whatever is happening.

As a Rockhampton local I have visited Myella quite a few times over the years, both with kids and on my own, and never been disappointed. Wish I had made the trip more often! Myella offers a wonderful experience for locals and travellers alike; you truly do get back what you put into it!

I went to Myella 17 years ago and was eager to take my wife and 6 year old son to experience it.

The place had grown organically rather than transformed and the one thing that has not changed are the warm, friendly, patient, professional, lovely people who are part of, and integral to what makes Myella such a wonderful, unique place.
